The Association of Confessing LCMC Congregations (ACLC) was launched and incorporated in the summer of 2026. Formed out of a deep love for our congregations and a desire to guard the rich inheritance of the Reformation, the ACLC exists because the responsibility to protect doctrinal integrity in a free-church association like the LCMC falls squarely on the local church. We provide a robust, voluntary framework to equip local churches, support pastors, and counter the theological drift and pragmatism that often threaten independent congregations.
Our Vision and Goals
We are a network dedicated to:
Confessional Subscription: Holding an unconditioned subscription to the 1580 Book of Concord as a faithful exposition of Scripture.
Word and Sacrament Priority: Keeping the objective, external Means of Grace at the absolute center of congregational life and ministry.
Liturgical Identity: Preserving and revitalizing the historic liturgy against entertainment-driven worship models.
Assisting Call Committees: Helping local call committees in their search for a theologically Lutheran pastor through an advisory committee that helps them vet candidates and guides them through the process.
A Distinct Identity
The ACLC is not seeking to become an official LCMC district, nor are we a casual fellowship group. We are a confessing movement within LCMC, an intentional network of like-minded congregations and leaders. Our sole aim is to serve, protect, and fortify LCMC pastors and congregations who share an unwavering, rigorous commitment to historic Lutheran theology and practice.
