ACLC - About Us

The Association of Confessing LCMC Congregations (ACLC) was launched and incorporated in 2026. Formed out of a deep love for our congregations and a desire to guard the rich inheritance of the Reformation, the ACLC exists because the responsibility to protect doctrinal integrity in a free-church association like the LCMC falls squarely on the local church. We provide a robust, voluntary framework to equip local churches, support pastors, and counter the theological drift and pragmatism that often threaten independent congregations.

Our Vision and Goals

We are a network dedicated to:

Confessional Subscription: Holding an unconditioned subscription to the 1580 Book of Concord as a faithful exposition of Scripture.
Word and Sacrament Priority: Keeping the objective, external Means of Grace at the absolute center of congregational life and ministry.
Liturgical Identity: Preserving and revitalizing the historic liturgy against entertainment-driven worship models.
Assisting Call Committees: Helping local call committees in their search for a theologically Lutheran pastor through an advisory committee that helps them vet candidates and guides them through the process.

A Distinct Identity

The ACLC is not seeking to become an official LCMC district, nor are we a casual fellowship group. We are a confessing movement within LCMC, an intentional network of like-minded congregations and leaders. Our sole aim is to serve, protect, and fortify LCMC pastors and congregations who share an unwavering, rigorous commitment to historic Lutheran theology and practice.

Our Board of Directors

Chair

Dan Landin is the pastor at St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church in Holland, IN, and has previously served churches in Nebraska, Pennsylvania, and New York.

He is married to his high school sweetheart, Stephanie, and they have three sons: Isaac, Asher, and Ezra. His two greatest passions in ministry are delivering the good news of the freedom we have in Jesus Christ and sharing the great treasure we have received in the Lutheran Confessions with everyone that he can.

Vice Chair

Chad Kyler serves as pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in West Falls, New York, having previously served congregations in both North Carolina and New York. He and his wife, Laurie, have two sons, Sergio and William.

Chad is deeply committed to the Lutheran Confessions as a faithful and accurate exposition of Holy Scripture. He understands his calling as a minister of Word and Sacrament to be centered on proclaiming Christ crucified and risen, delivering the forgiveness of sins, and faithfully bestowing God's promises of grace to His people.

Treasurer

John Beasley serves as the pastor of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Stendal, Indiana He is married to Lori, and they have two grown sons, Jon-Michael and Jacob.

John is committed to the proclamation of God’s Word and administering God’s forgiveness through Word and Sacrament. He loves nurturing the faith of God’s people through the Lutheran Confessions and traditional liturgy.

Pastor John is a combat veteran having served in the USMC, U.S. Army and the Kentucky Air National Guard. Pastor John also has a heart to minister to those that are spiritually afflicted as a trained Exorcist through the Society of St. Michael, Anglican Church North America.

Secretary

Tony Emmanuel serves as the pastor at New Life Lutheran Church in Gallipolis, OH, which is his first call. In addition to pastor and board member for ACLC, Tony works bi-vocationally as a bank customer service representative. He lives in Ironton, OH, with his wife Andrea, and daughter Lorelei.

Tony is committed to a faithful, confessional understanding and expression of Christianity in the Lutheran Tradition. He understands his call to be thus: proclaim the Word of God faithfully and rightly administer the Sacraments to deliver the freedom that is forgiveness of sins to the people.

One of the best ways he sees to make sure the people receive the Word of God regularly is through traditional liturgy, where the Word of God is proclaimed throughout the service for the people

At-large member

Sarah Churness-Floyd serves as the pastor of Zion Lutheran in La Moille, IL. In addition to her board service, she walks alongside her congregation through every season of life, offering comfort during grief, sharing in times of celebration, providing pastoral care, and visiting those who are sick and homebound. As lead pastor, she supports discipleship and faith formation across all generations, guiding young disciples through First Communion and Confirmation while also leading adult Bible studies.

She is married to Mark Floyd, and together they have two grown children, Laura and Matthew, who both work as engineers at Northrop Grumman and actively participate in their own Christian ministries.

At-large member

Scott Adkins serves as the Lead Pastor of Salem Lutheran Church of Oxford in North Branch, Minnesota and has served there since 2022. Before that he served Bethesda Lutheran Church in Dresser, Wisconsin. He is married to Amanda, and has two children, Peter and Katherine.

As a pastor Scott is committed to serving God’s people according to the Lutheran Confessions and the preaching of God’s Law and Gospel in the Lutheran liturgy so that everyone can hear the story of Christ’s redeeming love.

He is also a Chaplain serving our nation and the men and women of the United States Army and their families in the Minnesota Army National Guard.
